This edition features original photography and hand-drawn illustrations inspired by the rugged beauty and unique flora of the Coachella Valley that surrounds our current home in the Coachella Valley. It opens with a poem by my dear friend, Sewa Buwewa Contreras, a Yaqui healer and educator who helped inspire this journal.
The minimalist design of the interior pages provides structure without restricting your creativity. Simple prompts help you organize your notes, and a light dot-grid background helps you write and draw neatly. Every third spread is blank for open-ended creative expression.
